Telmen wants one last normal day with his friends before leaving Mongolia, but they’re determined to make it unforgettable.

SHORT SYNOPSIS
On the edge of adulthood, 18-year-old Telmen feels lost and uncertain about leaving Mongolia to study abroad. Hoping for one quiet, ordinary day with his best friends, he instead becomes the target of Bilguun and Otgonbayar’s desperate attempt to give him an unforgettable send-off. When the night turns into disappointment, the trio must face the reality of their coming separation.

DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT
With Here, Right Now, I wanted to capture an authentic portrait of modern Mongolian youth, specifically, the universal and fragile space between adolescence and adulthood. I remember being eighteen, when every choice seemed to carry a heavy weight and every goodbye felt definitive. The only thing that felt grounding were the people I surrounded myself with, even as life began to pull us all in different directions.
As the characters fail to create the “epic” farewell, they have to face something more honest. The passage of time, the fear of change, and the realization that they will never be this version of themselves again. Just the truth of a moment that feels enormous when you’re living it, and impossibly small once it’s gone.
