Thrilled to announce that three short films from the Mailuki Films catalogue have been selected to compete at the ever-exciting and wonderful Under the Moon International Film Festival, organised by Islantilla Cineforum:

  • Anyone lived in a pretty how town, by Daniel Kreziberg
  • Gallina, by Fernando Reinaldos
  • Aitä, by Ibon Landa

The Islantilla International Under the Moon Film Festival is this destination’s invitation to film lovers, inviting them to enjoy the most cutting-edge audiovisual works in the finest of settings: the beach. An event showcasing the best feature films and short films produced around the world, screened outdoors over two months of screenings. All this is complemented by round-table discussions, exhibitions and special screenings, amongst other cultural activities.

This initiative is organised by the Islantilla Association of Municipalities in collaboration with various public and private bodies, such as the Town Councils of Lepe and Isla Cristina, the business community of Islantilla, the International University of Andalusia and the University of Huelva. Since its inception in 2008, the festival has grown to become a benchmark for independent cinema.
The Islantilla Cinefórum events take place during July and August, when the warm weather invites visitors to enjoy the evening and screenings under the moonlight. During the last week of August, there is also a special programme of screenings of the finalists’ films, as well as a Closing Gala at which the Jury presents the Luna de Islantilla awards. A unique experience that blends cinema, beach and culture on the Huelva coast.

Stay tuned. In a few days’ time, we’ll be announcing further successes for these three spectacular productions.
