Thrilled to announce that two shorts by Mailuki Films have been selected for the 2026 New Bedford Film Festival:

  • Gallina, by Fernando Reinaldos
  • Cinco, by Diego Gardo & Víctor Candela

The New Bedford Film Festival celebrates authentic cinematic stories, cultivates bold storytellers, and champions the city’s growing creative economy. NBFF takes place in the vibrant city of New Bedford on the South Coast region of Massachusetts.

On Thursday, April 9th, the film festival will launch its third year at at Steeple Playhouse, where a red-carpet arrival and closing Academy-Award-style event will also occur on April 12th.

In 1978, the City of New Bedford obtained ownership of Palmer Island Light. Palmer Island Light Station is a historic lighthouse in New Bedford Harbor in New Bedford, Massachusetts.

Cinco and Gallina are two of the most successful productions on the international film festival circuit. They have competed in the Official Selection of numerous film festivals around the world, including qualifying events for the Hollywood Oscars and the EFA European Film Awards.

Stay tuned. We will soon be announcing new successes for both European productions.
