Thrilled to announce that the short film CINCO, debut by Diego Gardo & Víctor Candela, is an Official Selection at Santa Clarita International Film Festival.

SCIFF will launch opening night on December 11, 2025, at the Laemmle in Newhall, CA, with the main program running December 12, 13, & 14, 2025.

Santa Clarita, often called the “Hollywood North,” is a thriving community of artists and creators. So it is no surprise that Santa Clarita is a critical part of the filmmaking community, with 65% of its residents working in the industry. Additionally, the city has the most filming locations and studios in Los Angeles County, along with over 250 recent big-budget studio projects (not counting independents).

CINCO is the debut film by Diego Gardo and Victor Candela. Two great professionals who make their debut behind the camera with this European production starring Junior Natera, Alex Mola, Pablo Verdugo, and Sharon Sánchez.

CINCO premiered worldwide this September at the prestigious Tirana International Film Festival in Albania. This film event qualifies for the Hollywood Oscars and the EFA European Film Awards.

In Spain, it has been selected for several qualifying festivals for the Goya Awards, organized each year by the Spanish Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Since then, it has been selected for countless international festivals.
