Thrilled to announce that the short film THE MAGICIAN, the latest work by Bogdan Muresanu, is among the 17 animation gems selected for the ANIMATION — SHORT Films Competition at the XXIII Annual Tirana International Film Festival, Albania.

Films in this category are eligible for the 2026 OSCARS®️ and the 2025 European Film Awards.

This is the sixth qualifying festival for the Hollywood Oscars and the European Film Awards to select this film produced in Romania, Croatia and France.

Bogdan Muresanu is the headlight of new Romanian cinema.
With his previous short film, CADOUL DE CRACIUN, he won the European Film Academy Award and was a SHORTLISTED at the Hollywood OSCARS.

THE MAGICIAN, aka MAGICIANUL, has been premiered at prestigious festivals such as Annecy International Animation Film Festival, France; HollyShorts Film Festival, USA, Bengaluru International Short Film Festival, India…. and a few more that we will announce shortly. Stay tuned.
