Thrilled to announce that the jury of the 40th INTERFILM/ Berlin International Short Film Festival has just decided to award the Berlin-Brandenburg Award for Best Film to the short film The Masterpiece, by Spanish filmmaker Àlex Lora Cercos.

It is the umpteenth success in a qualifying film event for the Hollywood Oscars that awards this original idea of the also producer Lluis Quilez.

The Masterpiece is a contender for the Hollywood Oscars and Goya Awards. 

The Masterpiece is also nominated for the Forqué Awards.

The Masterpiece, aka La Gran Obra, was premiered and awarded at Sundance Film Festival, USA; Melbourne International Film Festival, Australia; and Raindance Film Festival, United Kingdom.

The Masterpiece is a production by Euphoria Productions in coproduction with Calabaza Films, Filmakers Monkeys and Àlex Lora Cercos.

Manel Aguado is the Cinematographer and Alfonso Amador & Lluis Quilez are the writers.
