Thrilled to announce that the short film THE MASTERPIECE, by Ă€lex Lora Cercos, has been accepted as an official selection of the 19th Annual Macon Film Festival.Â
The festival dates are August 15th – 18th in Macon, Georgia.Â

The screening will by at the history Macon Theatre.

The Ritz Theater opened on January 2, 1928 with John Barrymore in “When a Man Loves”. Seating listed at 840 seats. It was equipped with a theatre pipe organ (make unknown). By 1941 it was operated by Paramount Pictures Inc. through their subsidiary Lucas & Jenkins. This theater was later operated by Georgia Theatre Co.
The Ritz Theater closed as a movie theater in May 1956. The building was later gutted and since 1986 it has become Theatre Macon.

The Masterpiece, aka La Gran Obra, was premiered and awarded at Sundance Film Festival, USA; Raindance Film Festival, UK; and Flickerfest International Short Film Festival, Australia.

The Masterpiece is an original idea by the also Producer Lluis Quilez.
Alfonso Amador and Lluis Quilez are the writers.
Manel Aguado is the DOP.
Babou Cham, Adam Norou, Melina Metthews and Daniel Grao are the stars.
Euphoria Productions produces the film in coproduction with Calabaza Films, Filmakers Monkeys and Àlex Lora Cercos.
